Dear Siuman - Wouldn't it be fun to live in any one of the top 20?; perhaps someday not too far in the future. In the meantime, gotta make do with the hand I'm dealt with.

Obviously I just have to ask (yesterday) and here comes a new post! Wonderful to see you back! (I hope I don’t have to remind you again!! :-)))

A rather expected order in the list! You can of course notice that some countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, North Korea... are not classified. In my mind surprisingly deep red colour in Venezuela and also Mongolia is fairly red.

nice to see you back after a long time!

interesting post,
no wonder most developed countries are laying toward red side..and no wonder majority of these countries are where democracy and people's power is at its best!

good to see u back gal! (;

KW - Look forward to the day to live in one of the top 20, (or perhaps the top 23). We can achieve it. Thank you.

Peter - Good observation, I believe that living in a developed countries doesn't guarantee a happiness.

Deepsat - Nice to see you here again. All the best.

Yazi - Thanks for your visit, keep in touch.

I'm not surprised seeing Denmark at the top of the list, being from the U.S., maybe I should think about relocating...

Great data. Switzerland is one of the best places to live in the world, as well.

Long time no see, Ginger. I don't think my USA deserves to be in the top 20, maybe with Mr. Obama as President, I'll change my views. I need to catch up on your blog big time. Take care.

Ok, it's obvious the most happy countries are the politically neutral ones that never get into it with anyone. Totally agreed.

Cheers,
Quixote

I know, Denmark is one of the happiest nations in the world. I wonder what is it like to live in one. Sadly US is among the unhappiest nations.
